Windy out there.
Well I had the day off and I really wanted to wet a line. So I decided to head over to the diversionary in the kayak.
I didn't feel like throwing plastics all day in the wind so I caught a few dozen finger mullet and set up a slip cork that would allow the weight to sit just above the bottom and a 6 inch leader from the weight to the hook.
The fishing was slow from 730-11 and then the tide switched and I had about a 2 hour window were I picked up 2 solid flounder and a lot of dink trout.
The wind really picked up around 2 and that is when the bite switched from game fish to lady fish. Oh how I hate lady fish.
I decided to call it a day around 4 after I hooked into a rat red to complete the slam. All in all a good day. Would have liked to produce more quality fish though.
