Was on West today left at 7:00 A.M. At spot at 7:03 am and ran into the marina by lightning at 7:10 am. Got back out and had perfect conditions despite light rain and the sky being black down wind of us and couldn't buy a bite except for a 3' shark demolishing my topwater.

Good call to stay away from lightning. I had to run in and wait it out for 30mins. this morning about 8:00.

We caught a few trout and found a gafftop nest

Where is the gafftop nest? I know some guys at my storage that will clean that nest out. Glad to see you got out & caught a few.
                  Today is a new day!!

Was awakened from my dogs barking this afternoon and found a couple of our fellow members in the drive. They checked out the new ride and talked me into heading out this afternoon. We started at the launch and headed south.

.....tide was slack but we all were able to hook up with some edible (and legal) fish! Tide turned and we headed back up to where we came from. Shad....shrimp...mullet all busting right around dark thirty up against the bank as well as in the foot or so of water we were drifting......the freakin' POS trolling motor on the bow had broken a stainless pin or we would have been out there till about this time! Looked at the piece I was able to find and it was probably made in China as it was stressed and either broke on the ride full blast across the bay yesterday or when it bumped when we were loading it on the trailer last night.

                      ....at any rate.

We know where some fishies are hanging....
We know where there are some killer flattie spots..
We know where there is a big azzzed school of Reds...

.....and the best thing I learned this evening is that the new ride will get up in less than a foot or so of water!!

THANKS GUYS for waking me up this afternoon! LMFAO!!

Sound like a fun run. Now get back out there and catch some so I can see some pics, as I am stuck at work.

Good luck to you. Think I am going to keep the cover on the boat for a day.

lighting? No problem. Just lay a 2 iron on your bow.....You know the rest.
