  • Sand Eel surrender

Myself and Hogie laid down the smackath this morning on the trout and reds.We caught at least 20 reds between us and probably just as many trout. The front side of this new moon had 'em going ape **** today. All the fish were shallow, thigh to waist deep. The reds were thick and they wanted the tails.Sand eels, sand eel jr.'s and Hogie diablos did the trick.Dark colors...plum,purple and even the black magic had 'em going. The trout were the same depth and wanted the tails also.We left the trout biting at 1:30pm and called it a day,and a good one it was.Trout to 4lbs and the reds up to 5lbs.

It was a good day with a bad wind. I wish the wind would shift.
