  • 4/24/16 report

Fished from 6:30am -9:30am, incoming high tide, south winds. Fished two south shoreline coves and caught 5 nice trout, 3lb -5lb range. Missed a really nice trout which would have been first fish of the morning. Left my net and boga in the front hatch, when I knelt down to grab her, she came unbuttoned. Possibly could have been my personal best.....still a fun morning. Fish caught on Plum/Chartreuse Assassins and Chicken on the chain Little John's. Released all fish.

Nice job. Sorry about the PB trout. Maybe you'll get her next time.

Good report, thanks. Based on that gas cap, it looks like you and I run a very similar boat from East Cape. So does JYC. Love it for Galveston.

Nice catchin'! Looks like the size and weight I've been catching lately. 4.5-6 pounders. Those 24" fish are fatter than usual and the 28" are fat as salmon. Thanks for the report and releases.

Nice looking trout. I hate to hear someone loosing a fish. I lost my personal best last weekend it was a heart breaker. Keep at it there all around the south shoreline.
