Left late this am because we waited until the kids left for school. I was messing with the boat and set my phone down on the fender. After finishing up, I ran in and washed my hands and then walked out and Joe (Neighbor) was ready to go so I just jumped in the truck and took off. We stopped at HEB on 646 to put some air in the trailer tires and I realized I didn't have my phone.
We backtracked and looked everywhere for about an hour and then headed to the AT&T store. We were there for about an hour and filed a claim on the phone and bought a cheap phone to use until the new one comes in and we finally headed to the bay.
We finally launched about 10:30am and were in the water about 11. Caught a few small trout at the first stop but tide was barely moving and they were biting super light. Hit a couple other spots and caught NADA. Finally found some bait on a shoreline and found some reds and a few more trout but they were still biting really light. Had to get back by 3:00 so we headed in.
Ended the day with 3 slot reds to 27" and kept 5 trout. We caught about 15 trout and 2 other undersize reds. The trout were all 15 - 17 so we just kept the 5 that were 17". we probably missed more than we caught today with that light bite. All were caught on Corky Dines and plastics in 2-4' over shell and mud.
