so far, lower west bay has been ok for me this new year. Mostly fishing anywhere I can find some shell and mud while it's cold, keying on bait on the north and west shorelines when it's warm, and drifting grass flats when I need a red. We've had a few good days, not numbers, but solid fish. I purchased a new to me, shoalwater 19 cat a few months back and have been logging gps tracks ever since. I got the help from kenny at g-spot to install some tunes and a light bar. Having that light bar has made navigating west bay around the pass much safer at low light and night. Baits have ranged from fat boys, softdine xls, bass assassins and spook jr's. It's been a while since I've posted here, but I look forward to fishing out there as much as I can this year. I'll be trying to fish some more tournaments this year and will try to post more reports after the next time I get out. And remember "there are no fish in chocolate" may not be too true. tight lines
