I launched at Jamaica Beach Friday morning and waded a south shoreline cove. I caught a flounder early in a gut that runs through the cove. Had some mud streaks coming out of the marsh with the outgoing tide. Caught one red wading the color change between green water and muddy. Couldn't find the trout.
Things were pretty quiet out there yesterday. Didn't see a ton of bait moving until 2p or so when I was in Jumbile. Of course I had to head in when things were starting to look up.
Pretty steady east wind all morning. Water temp started out in the low 50s and was touching 60 when I went in.
I planned to launch at Sea Isle but there chains across the ramp. The shallow ramp in the canal was blocked by a truck and trailer.
Sorry no pics yesterday. A beautiful day to be out.
