  • 4/11: Tough Wade

I waded the east end of west bay yesterday morning from sun up until 1030 or so. Wind was kicking pretty good, the water wasn't too bad, just a little churned up from all the wind this week. Tide was below normal and dropping. I fished a channel adjacent to some shell with no luck. Nada. Had a wader nearby that got in before I did that looked like he had a couple on the string.

I left and went up to Bayou Vista to a decent flounder spot that chickenboy showed me just to see if the flounder are doing. I caught two on a red/white flounder king. Stopped by Louis' and watched a guy almost dump his boat off the trailer at the boat ramp while I had a cold beer. All the hollerin' was entertaining.

Good day fishing, bad day catching. Good luck to all the tourney anglers today.

I think I may have been the "wader near by" blue and white shallow stalker v20, texas pfg, ... Ended up with a red and a flounder at that spot then got skunked the rest of the day

Thanks for the report. I've seen some entertaining stuff at that ramp over the years. I've been guilty of starring in the ramp movie a time or two. Lol
