So I spoke with Red Fish Rob over the weekend and seems we might have a Houston venue for over 1,000 LBS of crawfish at a local watering hole :D
Trying to work out details see if its still a possibility but members have expressed interest in either a Fish Fry, Crawfish Boil or Crab Boil.

I've eaten so much crawfish in my life, I think I are one.
Biggest problem with crawfish here in Texas is this: Texans don't understand that YOU MUST CUT THE FIRE, THROW IN A BAG OF ICE TO STOP THE COOKING PROCESS, AND LET THE BUGS SOAK FOR 20-25 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and don't be sprinkling seasoning on the AFTER they are cooked. The seasoning is supposed to be on the INSIDE dummies. :D

The difference between a Coonarse and a Horse's arse is . . . . . . . . The Sabine River! :D

LOL.
Count me in as one of the Texans that didn't know you have to stop the heat completley and soak. What does this do for the bugs?

The flavor gets a chance to completely soak into the meat.

WTH kind of answer is that you NCA("Nancy Coon Arse")....the meat cools, thus contracting and pulling the flavor into it.
And bite me Mike!

I went for the practical answer, not the scientific one. When are you coming out to the camp? I need a place to sit down and pee.
