Never been gigging before and am thinking of going on a night trip to beat the heat. Is this a good time of the year to go and can you recommend a guide. THanks.

I don't know any that offer gigging expeditions...

I take people and we walk in on places.

Capt. Mark Talasek does giggin trips in Matagorda. Ive never been with him but Ive been out there many a night and seen him. His website should give reports and have his contact information.

I am not a guide so there is no fee but if you consider buying supplies a fee then forget it.
