What point do you all use out of Galveston to keep within 9 miles of shore?

I have certain spots marked within the 9 nm range, per my Trip and Way point Manager program from Garmin....

I set up the point before I down loaded them......

I figured I'd have to start marking points I just didn't know if the Coasties or LEO used a certain point say the N or S Jetty... I'm going to have to do some drawing tonight on my maps :D

I just find a spot with some fish and then take the pointer on my GPS and take it to the nearest adjacent point on land to determine if I am legal or not.

I have an area 11 miles from the North Jetty that has two spots and the farthest of the two is exactly 8.99 miles.

That's what they make GPS's with Maps For!;)

I took a 9 mile marker on my computer program and mapped the outline of TX out 9NM... I transfered that map with only state waters as a new map on my garmin :D
