Deep Gut between the sand bar @ pirates beach

My buddy down at Sea Isle says he has an 8' gut between the 1st & 2nd sandbars dug out from Ike. Says the trout are thick everyday. Anyone wade fished Pirates beach lately?

007, Beach Bum Bailey & I waded it... Not that deep maybe that's a high tide depth but could be were the geo tube was lying... 007 had a good run and almost got spooled.. He caught a fat speck on the next cast on a live mullet maybe 3-4" long.
