Wind shuts down gigging

The wind this weekend didn't help the gigging situation both nights the wind would not cooperate with the tides. Full moon soon should be good.

Thats too bad. Hopefully this week and next weekend will be better. I've been wanting to go stick some flat fish.

The wind has been rough the last few days.
Was out in West Bay on Friday.
When not hiding from filthy bilge rat West Bay pyrats:eek:, was able to check a few gigging areas. NO GO. :(
Even the south shore was dirty.
Next weekend hopefully.

I got all my lights charged, drove down to SLP on Saturday morning you need 4x4 if you want to drive down the trails, washouts etc... The easiest way to get down to the bay side is to drive down to the pass and then make your way back towards the bay.. The sandbar appeared to still be there looks to be similar to how it looked after Rita... I haven't waded it yet so we'll have to wait and see.

Majek- talked to Beach Bum Bailey and he said he will go walk (if he has time) the area we gig down towards SLP...

I just want some feedback on the depth of the new sand flats from him and how the tides moving... If all goes according to plan, either Saturday or Sunday evening I'll be out there gigging your more than welcome to join.
