There has been serious interest in our meetings going from just the Founders to some of the new active members. I think this is a great idea and will give us a chance to all get together talk buy our store items etc...

Who would be interested in attending... We were probably going to do 1 every other month or every month if there is enough interest...

I think you should send a personal invite, this way your..."some of the new active members" would know who you are refering to....

This is just a suggestion/question, why would you not want to send an invite to all Members. By letting all members get to know each other a little better through a meeting, this may increase activity on the forums and after all you will know by the turn out who wants to participate more. Speaking just for my self I would like to attend and participate and if you were to do it on a personal invite only my feelings would not be hurt. This is just a question am not trying to step on anyone’s toes or get in anyone business.
Thanks

Jocues, I think you misunderstood... Club Meetings are open to anyone... I started this club/website with the help and support of a close group of friends, we meet regardless cause we hangout on the weekends and are all good friends...

No personal invites will be sent out, all meetings will be publicly announced both here on the forum and on our Calendar... I might even do a mass mailer newsletter announcing our first public meeting...

How about at the O2 Bar at the San Luis Hotel. I hear you can get into some excitement at that place!

Is there a purpose/agenda (other than partying) for the meetings?

Do we need a purpose or agenda? :D

The purpose would be to get together and share our love of fishing, meet members etc... We are always looking at ways to help the community, what about restaking the old ICW where it goes through Confederates? GEO-Tubes between Pirates and Jamaica that are underwater at high tide and are a serious navigational hazard for anyone not knowing they are there... Beach Clean-ups, There is even a wildlife sanctuary near Lafites that has scattered debris all over it... I think by choosing a project we could easily have a successful meeting and come away from it not only with a buzz and new friends but a plan of action for the club to help better the community where we love to fish.

I like the idea, but I must work 2 consecutive weekends each month. I know I can get real shallow and with a hi-thrust 60hp, I am sure to do some good damage.
I'm in, but am working these 2 weekends in a row and will require at least one
common sense hand to jump out to do some tying as long as there is a leader boat/crew to help out with priority nav hazards...

Hell, if the meetings are at Hooters, I can get a meeting in and visit my girl all in one destination!!!
