well, its been numerous years since I had been on a cattle boat cause I don't like fishing shoulder to shoulder and all the mess that goes along with fishing that style but I went on saturday. :o My moms company charters the boat for the employee's and my dad wanted to go. I have passed on this trip for the past years cause I usually take the wife to fish Lingere on the bay but she couldn't do it this year. Well, it was sloppy, people yakking and the fishing sucked. I won't comment on the captains fish finding skills.
But........what do you think this king went?

Hard to tell, but possible upper 40's say 46-48#.
The leader on the STAR right now is a 57#er i think.

it bottomed out a cheap ol' rusty scale that one of the deckhands had. I didn't stick around to get the final weight. I doubt anybody on this trip was in the Star Tourny though. :D Mainly northside cholo's. :ack2:

You think? It does look thick.I'm going off what a 30+#er looks like, which is a good size fish.

the biggest I ever caught is a 37# and it made my fish look small. :o There was also a 33-34#ish redsnapper boated. I am working on getting pics of it. It was a pig! Its the one right behind the kings.

The picture of all the lines together looks like a huge mess. I was offshore a few weeks ago and saw a party boat out and it just looked like a huges cluster F#$K on it
