I was talking to my buddy, Joey, the new owner of Shorty's, yesturday and he told me about a benefit for a friend of his that got in a bad accident and has no medical insurance. Shorty's will be having a benefit the same exact day as the Flounder tourney.. So...

We are still having the flounder tourney and a silent auction for the NFRA on Saturday, October 25th!

This will be a two-fer benefit. Joey believes that it should not hurt either one, and it will actually help me out because I don't have to worry about food and the set up!!

I will have a canopy set up for the flounder tourney weigh in and silent auction, and they will have BBQ, Music, Live Music, Live Auction, Cold Beer etc..

Friday, October 24th, All Entries for Flounder Tournament Due
( Entry forms will be available at Shorty's Next Week)

Saturday, October 25th
Fishing Time - 5:00AM till 4:00PM
Weigh In Opens - 2:00 PM
Silent Auction Opens - 2:00 PM
Final Call for Weigh In - 5:00 PM (Must be in line by 5:00 PM!)
Awards - 5:15 to 5:30
Silent Auction Closes - 5:30
Silent Auction Winners Called - 5:45

Due to Hurricane Ike messing everything up.. and the fact that I have to work... the Flounder Tourney is cancelled....



I may have a Spring Trout Tourney... we'll see.
