Great video, thanks for posting the link.

There are some really high quality videos on Vimeo.

Rocky, have you ever checked out Joe York's videos on Vimeo, he has some really good ones on BBQ but mainly pork.

I'm eager to try my luck on reds this year. I've caught grand slams in the flats several times, but never have the pleasure of a big red on a fly. Looking forward to learning my way around the west part of west bay

..if you are interested I can show you a few spots that are killer for spot casting Reds here local. Trouble is they always have their backs out of the water like they are trying to catch some Sun or something!!

I will be down at my house over spring break trying to find a place to catch some sweet fly action like this!

...if I might ask where are you headed to? I can turn ya onto some Reds if they are in the "gettin' spot" if you want to pitch a fly or two and don't mind getting a bit muddy if you are wading. The only trouble with the place I am thinking of is that the darn fish have their backs out of the water all the time and don't like to bite on any of those plastic lures that everyone keeps talking about both in print and on the darn radio.

....LMFAO!!!

My house is in Terramar Beach close to San Luis pass, so down on the west end would due my preference. If you have any recommendations for that area? And also maybe a few flies you recommend as well?

....I am the farthest thing from a "Fly" fisherman as before I retired I didn't even have the time to wet a hook of any sort! However, since you live down there on the West End there are plenty of places on the north shoreline that you can wet a fly in......especially with this south wind that's blowing.
Might make it a little tough to pitch along the shoreline as I prefer, but if you are wading at the least you will if you prefer have the wind to your back.
Haven't been there yet but if the water is pushed up into the grass that's where I would be pitching anything as the Reds ought to be right up in there if the tide is pushed up.
