I just found out the legendary Hall's Bayou Bait camp had a bad fire this morning . Somebody had to have put it out as it only burned about half the building (thank you ). That place is old I spent a many childhood days down there with G340 and our dad. I remember they had one of those boat lifts to launch your boat and the old man would let the kids operate it . I sure miss the old days . Hope somebody rebuilds it . Even if there are no fish in Hall's . It used to be run by the Konzak's

...That's a damn shame little Brother. As Paul stated we both learned how to tie our own knots and catch our own shrimp on that "no fish holding" bayou many moons ago. Our Dad used to have a home built houseboat down there back in the '60's that I spent many a night on and gigged my first flounder walking the shoreline of the Lake so long ago that I might need to take some "Geritol" so I can remember.
Maybe they will do like my brothers in San Leon do on occasion and have a benefit to get the place rebuilt.

....sure hope it was an accidental fire and not a case of arson considering some of the crap that the current owners were dealing with in the last year or so.

...talked with a friend that went down there and it seems the fire started due to some really rigged up wiring back where the tv was plugged in with a ton of other stuff. The place needed to be re-wired anyway so it's going to get a re-do on the inside of the place.
