Summary-
4 day, 3 night trip

Days consisted of bottom fishing in 300- 400' of water for grouper and r. snapps.

Most of the deep water snapper were big - 15 - 25lbs

some ok warsaw grouper

other grouper specie were caught- but nothing to big

AJ's were out of season- but we caught a bunch of Almaco jack - one had to be a state record

TUNA fishing

The blackfin were the biggest I had ever seen - 20 - 30lbs

Yellow fin were a different story, as they were few and far between for the first two nights .....

BUT at 2am on the last night we drifted through a weed line/ rip ...

we had the rolling stones on the XM radio - and it just happened ...

I lost two good yellows at the boat, including a monster that had two foot sickles .... everyone said it was a 120 - 150lber ... would have been my personal best, and won money in the boat pot and fiesta .... hour long fight, and another angler let his stupid 50lb yft get tangled in mine, and POP, right at the boat.....

MAD was an understatement - drank a beer, and I got real intense

I ended up landing the next 5 TUNA on the boat, including 2 yellow fin to 60lbs ....

stayed up for 40 hrs straight, no caffine .... just prue adriniline (sp?)

My total count
2 yft - to 60lbs
10 blk fin
5 Almaco jacks
3 R. snapps to 20lbs

In short- to many damn fish to clean .... if you know where I live come over and get some fish ..... :)

It should be noted- if your gear has a weakness, the tuna will find it
-weak line
-bad knot
-wrong rod
-hook not strong enough
- etc.....

X10 Bryan. Nice catch regardless of the lost biggun.

Just bring me by a 2" x 6" YFT steak-I'll trade ya for a bag o' blackbuck sausage.
