View Full Version : Why travel 60 miles?

MilkJug, Beach Bum Bailey, my girlfriend & I all went off shore today. Left the jetties around 8AM got back around 3PM.

(6) 15LB Red Snapper
(3) Mangroves
(1) 15-20LB King
(1) Triple Tail

We left the jetties and headed out 20NM to our first stop just to check for Ling. MilkJug (Yan) jumped in & checked out the area. He saw some snapper so we decide to jump in. We nailed 4 snapper at the first stop plus a king. My girlfriend hooked up to a nice triple tail on our weed line encounter. There were several others but we only managed one.

Stopped at 2 more rigs within visual range of the rig we came from and got a few more snapper for the boat plus a couple more mangroves.

Calm seas all day made for a wonderful day on the water.

For sure matt sorry about your engine fuel issue might be that primer bulb? But fuel restrictions or issues are tough to diagnose.

Nice going-I went Sunday. had engine issue on way back in-thankfully at the pass and not 30 miles out.

Thanks again for the sweet trip Coe. That was some very cool diving. The vis may not have been like that cobalt water but there was a lot of interesting stuff to see and good numbers of fish, and that's all that matters!

How deep were you diving to get those fish? that looks like fun, how long can you hold a breath when spearing the fish?

We were dropping down 40-50'. Yan had a weight belt, which I need to get! That will allow me to drop faster. I am too buoyant LOL
