If you figure out how to make the points secure then I'm ready to talk but I do not won't all-thread.
I am picturing a nice barbed trident in stainless. I have seen how hard it can be to remove a fish from a barbed gig and when the day happens that a roll across a 26" beast I want it on the end of barbed tines.
I suppose all thread works well enough, I just have doubts as I have absolutely no experience with them.

We use (qty 2 ) 3/8" SS all thread welded to a piece of SS pipe (collar). The pipe has a few holes drilled thru each side that you use to bolt to a piece of 10' aluminum conduit. I have never ever ever lost a properly stuck fish. We gig out of boat and have to use the flounder remover in the boat to revmove most of them. I am very confident in them. The fact that just about anybody can get their hands on the all thread is a good selling point also.
