Where to take a Hobie Catamaran suggestions for the weekend

I got a buddy staying in surfside this weekend and wanting to take his Hobie out for some fun. I know the surf is gonna be kinda rough. So does anyone have suggestions of where he could take it? The bay gets pretty skinny and not sure how deep he can run it.

The surf!! Bay sailing aint right. It should sail fine in 2' of water-at least ya can't turtle it in the bay.
