I decided to heck with all the negative economic news, and to stimulate the local economy, bought a new 90 Yamaha 2-stroke for my skiff Thursday, just in time to get the extra 3 year extended warranty.
Should be here Monday and installed by Tuesday ready for some break-in hours.

My '99 Yamaha 60 commercial 2-stroke is for sale. Runs like a scalded ape and has a (new) one year old lower unit.

I think the price difference is maybe $1,000. I was mainly interested in the 2-stroke because it's a hundred pounds lighter. In a small, shallow running skiff weight's a big factor.
