Sorry, have not been on the board lately, but, need to share this report.
Last week I went to San Antonio on Mon and Tues to get Martin ready for the Valero Texas Open. I left San Antonio Tues night and made my way to the Passport Inn on the SPID to fish Wed and Thurs with the legend Capt. Jesse Arsola!!!! My Brother in-law and his banker rounded out our group.
Wed we left out of Bird Island and fished some spoil banks in Upper Laguna Madre and made our way to Yarborough, Day one I had the lucky hand and caught 20 of the 40 fish landed, nothing in the big girl size, largest of the day went 24 inches, none the less a great start
Thurs Capt. Jesse decided we needed to leave a bit early and make a long run to a spot that holds big trout this time of year, We were in the water by 715 am, we had a day I'll never forget, a 5 hour wade yeilded 6 trout @ 28 inches, a 27, a 26 and a 25, numerous trout in the 20 inch range, between the 4 of us we caught over a hundred trout~~~yes a 100 trout, all released but 1 that swallowed the hook and 2 redfish that deserved to be on the grill
